It is with great parental pride that we announce that Lauren has won The Art Institutes High School Scholarship Competition 2003 in Fashion Design. As the grand prize winner, she will receive a full-tuition scholarship to Miami International University of Art & Design's Fashion Design program. To see the official notification, click here.

On Friday, July 11, 2003, Lauren left the nest and moves into her "dorm room" in Miami. Not your average dormitory, this is a converted apartment complex located on Biscayne Bay.

Lauren worked extremely hard on the essay and portfolio components of the competition, and assembled a selection of complementary letters from former teachers and employers.
